How do we thrive in the age of superintelligence?

Artificial intelligence will never render the human spirit irrelevant. Natural and artificial intelligence do not compete, but rather complement each other to produce a superintelligence that has the potential to profoundly benefit all of us.

But benefitting from superintelligence won't be easy. We will need to understand what we actually are, lean into what makes us unique, and access our potential to a depth that we've never had to.

We will need the personal stack:

  1. Personhood (<3) – identity.
  2. Personal Artificial Intelligence (π) – leverage.
  3. Personal Stock ($) – incentives.

1) Personhood (<3)

After centuries of living like machines, we've forgotten what it means to be human.

Our deepest joy is found in the friendships we make on our journey to seek truth.

Our natural way is feeling, not reasoning.

We exist in an unfragmented superposition (樸), not confined to any roles, disciplines, or domains.

2) Personal Artificial Intelligence (π)

General artificial intelligence will eat everything that does not have space for our uniqueness. To be able to create value, we will need to do what only we can do.

We will need to train a personal artificial intelligence that helps us discover, cultivate and express our uniqueness – across mediums, at scale.

3) Personal Stock ($)

As AI advances, compute, talent, and capital become more scarce, not less, because our desires grow far faster than our capabilities.

To gain access to the compute, talent, and capital we will need to realize our potential, we will need to share a stake in our potential success across everything we may ever do with those who can help us succeed.
